I am thrilled with the weather today. Well it could be a shade warmer (-20 is not very fun to be honest) but the light…the gorgeous light! After rescheduling because of the pitiful lack of any light yesterday, I feel like today’s weather was a blessing (perhaps in disguise?) And I was able to meet with some friends to photograph their lovely, and I mean breathtakingly lovely, 8 month old daughter. You shall soon see what I mean. She really is a doll. Of course now that she is crawling she is a touch more challenging to catch holding still for my camera. But with mom’s help and a bit of running we were able to grab a few milliseconds of fabulousness. Seriously, I fell in love with this munchkin when she was a newborn, and every time I see her she takes my breath away. I can not wait to take the family outside in the spring to photograph them all. If you think she is cute, wait till you see her brothers!

Oh it has taken me so long to narrow down my favorites from this sweet little boy! Him and his brother were excellent little models. I love how tiny newborns are, how fine their hair is and small their little legs are. It is such a joy spending time with these perfect little people. Henry is no exception. He was happy and awake, and happy fast asleep. And his older brother is the cutest little guy ever! You can just imagine the two of them as best friends in a few months. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites. Sherwood Park Newborn Photographer 001

What could possibly be my last outdoor, non snowy session of 2009 happened just this week with one of my favorite families. Many of you know that I volunteered doing youth mentoring with Young Life in Fort Saskatchewan until I started my own family. This is Virgel, our area director for Young Life, and his beautiful wife and kids, my Young Life family 8) I so love photographing these gorgeous sweethearts! Not every family I spend time with has 5 great kids (and an adult adoptee…lol!) Enjoy the sneak peeks!

~ beautiful sweetheart ~

November 13, 2009

I am so thrilled and excited for my good friends who just started their family. She was born on November 1st, exactly 14 months after her soon to be bff (that would be Grace) and boy is she gorgeous! I had some new thing-a-majigs I wanted to test out and she was my willing participant, so patient. She let me play for a few hours, although she did decide to stay awake for the most part. Her Dada is a proud member of Edmonton’s firefighters, so we had to make sure we used some of his equipment to show her off, too. 001

~lovely little lady~

November 5, 2009

Ooooo I so love the freshest little newborns! They are so snuggle-able and tiny, not to mention as sweet as can be! I met this little princess earlier this week. At 6 days old she was such an amazing trooper. She spent a good portion of our time wide awake and interested in all the commotion, but finally nodded off and slept so angelically! I hope you enjoy this sneak peek as much as I enjoyed getting it ready. She makes my heart melt a little…

Welcome to my new blog!!!

October 31, 2009

I am loving it! I hope that you do too. I love change, especially over the winter. Even though it is still technically fall (once the snow flies it is winter in my books!) You can still peruse my old blog for now, but I am not sure how long that will last.

I have a few ideas about how to make this winter tolerable. For any one who knows me, I usually love winter. Let me correct that. I used to love winter because it meant less work, more sleeping in and more time to do marketing, work on the website, have family time and a clean house. Well now I can officially say I dislike winter very much because the cold weather that slows down my shooting and gives a much needed break from the fall also makes leaving the house with a toddler an ordeal. And believe me, I need to get this girl out of the house every day. So I am scheming ways to tolerate winter. I will post about one of them very soon, but since I am not ready to ‘unveil’ it just yet, you will just have to wait ;)

You can use that handy dandy rss button up top to subscribe to my blog so that new posts will show up in your bookmark bar automatically. And become a fan on my facebook fanpage by using the little facebook button beside it. Thanks for stopping by. Come back often to visit!
